Resource Saver: Renewable Energy

TheGreenOffice.com uses dozens of reputable third-party certifiers as part of our Green Screen™. Despite this big pool of third party certifiers, some important green products slipped through without earning the ranking they deserve. To fill the gaps, we created the TGO Resource Saver, which uses information from the manufacturer to credit sustainable products.
Currently, much of our power sources, such as coal or petroleum, are non-renewable and harmful to the environment. Products that use renewable sources of energy, such as solar-powered electronics, are more sustainable. Choosing products that utilize renewable energy instead of conventional products signals the market that real demand exists for more sustainable products.
